Erika Hultsman
Erika holds a Master’s in Education with a specialization in Language Therapy from SMU and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Learning and Development from UT Austin. She has been certified to teach in the state of Texas since 2004 (general education EC-8 and special education EC-12) and has 12 years of teaching experience in Highland Park ISD as well as 18 years of tutoring experience.
Before moving to Highland Park she taught for six years at Irving ISD. Erika is also Certified Academic Language Therapist and has worked with many students with reading disorders like Dyslexia using Alphabetic Phonics, Great Leaps, and other Orton-Gillingham curriculums. Erika specializes in K-8 math and language arts as well as K-12 study skills, organization, and test prep.
In her spare time, Erika loves to travel the world and is always planning her next big adventure. When in Dallas, you can find her at concerts, going to the movies, spending time with her nieces and family, editing manuscripts in a coffee shop, curled up with a book, or pet sitting around the Park Cities. Erika believes that all children can be successful in school. They just need a little nurturing, guidance, and the tools to be successful.
